Dear Subscriber First Name, In my last edition, I wrote about uncertainty and how coaching can help navigate uncertain times. The pace of change has accelerated significantly over the last few months, making the uncertainty of our world an understatement. How do we embrace this new world? How do we adapt, knowing that resistance to change is a natural tendency, in both individuals or organizations? People and systems seek homeostasis, ie, to maintain a stable equilibrium. How can we create a sense of security and control over our lives to grow and blossom? A journalist recently asked me what is essential in our world to thrive and not feel overwhelmed and dissatisfied. Two things came to my mind: Having a clear "North Star" and acting with intentionality: This is increasingly critical to anchor oneself and channel our energy effectively. The younger generations are already leading the way, prioritizing roles that align with their values and aspirations, offering valuable lessons in this regard. Knowing ourselves, each other and how our teams work together: This involves strengthening our self-awareness and our empathy actively.
